According to information from FotbollDirekt, Ivorian defender Ibrahim Cissé will not be extending his contract with KuPS and is set to leave as a free agent at the end of the year. Several Swedish clubs are already closely monitoring his situation.

Having won the Finnish championship with KuPS, Cissé has once again been a defensive powerhouse. Since his arrival in 2023, he has racked up 36 appearances this season, netting 3 goals, and has firmly established himself as one of the league’s top centre-backs.

Last winter, Djurgården tried to lure him in, encouraged by coach Jani Honkavaara, a big admirer of the player. It remains to be seen whether Djurgården will make another move now that no transfer fee is required.
