Is Hansi Flick really leaving Barcelona? The coach has a blunt answer

Hansi Flick has broken his silence on reports claiming he plans to leave Barcelona at the end of the season dismissing them as "more nonsense".

The 59 year old coach who extended his contract until Jun 2027 last May after winning domestic treble and reaching the Champions League semi finals in his first season was recently the subject of multiple Spanish media stories suggesting he might step down after the current campaign.

Barcelona visit Club Brugge on Wednesday night for matchday 4 of Champions League group stage aiming to bounce back from mixed results in recent weeks.

The Catalan club sit second in La Liga, five point behind leaders Real Madrid and have won 2 of their 3 Champions League game so far.

According to Sport, Flick attended supporters' event in Bruges with members of Barca’s fan clubs from Ghent & Paris marking the latter’s 15th anniversary.

He was described as smiling, relaxed and engaging taking photos signing autographs and answering questions about the team’s form.

When asked directly about rumours of his possible departure, Flick reportedly laughed and replied with 2 cutting word:

"More nonsense"

Flick’s calm reaction comes amid growing media pressure following Barcelona’s El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid which triggered wave of speculation about his long term commitment.
