Is Real Madrid inferior to Barça ? Ancelotti speaks out !

Before the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad, Carlo Ancelotti spoke at a press conference. It was an ideal opportunity for the Real Madrid coach to address the recurring comparisons between his team and FC Barcelona.

After a tough victory against Leganes (3-2) thanks to a superb free-kick by Kylian Mbappé, the “Merengues” are gearing up for another big challenge. Ancelotti, often questioned about the stylistic differences between Real and Barça, once again gave his candid opinion.

Ancelotti fully embraces his style

"Everyone has their own vision of football. Some prefer possession play, others advocate long balls or intense pressing. Personally, I am thrilled with the way we have been playing for three years," Ancelotti stated.

It is worth noting that the illustrious Italian coach acknowledged the beauty of Barcelona's game while highlighting the uniqueness of his team:

"FC Barcelona plays very well, but Real Madrid offers a different kind of football, with a lot of quality. Each style depends on the players available. Those who stubbornly cling to a fixed identity often end up failing."

Thus, for Ancelotti, the most important thing remains efficiency and adaptability, a credo that seems to be paying off so far.
