Ismaïl Gharbi picks Tunisia over France and Spain!
The Braga midfielder arrived in Tunisia this morning to finalize the official paperwork ahead of joining the Carthage Eagles, before returning to Portugal in the evening to fulfill his club duties.
At 21 years old, Gharbi was born to a Tunisian father and a Spanish mother, making him eligible for three national teams: France, Tunisia, and Spain.
He made a name for himself in various youth squads before joining the PSG academy in 2016, where he featured in 12 first-team matches and provided an assist.
During the 2022-2023 season, he was loaned out to Stade Lausanne-Ouchy before moving to Braga last summer. There, he has started to make his mark, earning the trust of both his coach and teammates.
Meanwhile, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) also announced the call-up of right-back Moutaz Neffati (20), who plays for Swedish club Norrköping, to the national team roster.
