Jérémy Doku visited King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Ghana. This visit was part of a personal trip by the Manchester City winger to his country of origin.

The Belgian international of Ghanaian descent is currently spending his vacation in his parents’ homeland. Jérémy Doku made a stop at the seat of the Ashanti traditional authority, where he met with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, king of the Ashanti people. The audience took place at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, in the presence of several court members and influential local figures.

His stay in Ghana was also highlighted by visits to various neighborhoods in the capital, including the Madina district in Accra, where he joined in an impromptu football match with local youngsters.
