Joe Aribo targeted by Villarreal

Nigerian midfielder Joe Aribo, 29, currently playing for Southampton, has caught the keen interest of Villarreal.

Aribo, under contract until 2026, is known for his versatility. Equally adept as a holding midfielder or in a more attacking role, he impresses with his physical presence (1.83 m), international experience with Nigeria, and his ability to cover vast areas in midfield. Although a transfer could prove complicated due to the length of his current deal with the Saints, Villarreal is not ruling out making a move, according to Africa Foot.

For the Yellow Submarine, Aribo represents a potential reinforcement who could bring both power and balance to their midfield. The coming weeks will be decisive in determining the outcome of this transfer saga. A future in La Liga could well be on the horizon for the former Rangers player.
