Hamburg SV has officially announced the arrival of Kofi Amoako to bolster their midfield for the upcoming season.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian joins from Dynamo Dresden after an impressive campaign in which he established himself as a key starter. Across 33 official matches, Amoako logged over 2,300 minutes on the pitch.

Hamburg paid around two million euros to activate the defensive midfielder’s release clause, outbidding several European clubs including Lecce, Union Berlin, Mainz 05, and Leeds United. Under contract until 2030, Kofi Amoako said he was won over by the sporting project outlined by HSV’s management as well as the electrifying atmosphere at the Volksparkstadion.
