Ligue 1: Amine Gouiri wins the UNFP Player of the Month award for February

Amine Gouiri has been named the Player of the Month for February in Ligue 1 by the Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP). This accolade crowns an exceptional month for the Algerian international from Olympique de Marseille.

Having joined Marseille during the winter transfer window, Amine Gouiri quickly made his mark in his new colors. In February, he scored two goals and provided three assists in four matches, significantly contributing to OM's performances. His brace against AS Saint-Étienne on Matchday 22, culminating in a 5-1 victory, left a lasting impression and confirmed his successful integration into the Marseille squad.

To clinch this trophy, Gouiri outperformed renowned players such as Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi from Paris Saint-Germain. Dembélé, who scored six goals in February, and Hakimi, with two goals, couldn't match the impact and influence of the Algerian striker on Marseille's play.
