Ligue 1: PSG rolls on and awaits Monaco-Nice to already celebrate the title

Paris Saint-Germain got the job done. Expected to dominate on the pitch of Saint-Étienne, the capital club showed no signs of nerves, securing a commanding victory (6-1). Yet, it wasn't all smooth sailing.

Saint-Étienne surprised right from the start. In the 9th minute, Lucas Stassin opened the scoring with an unstoppable header, well assisted by Zuriko Davitashvili. Paris was slow to react and could have been trailing if not for a penalty converted by Gonçalo Ramos just before the break.

The second half was one-sided. Kvaratskhelia gave the Parisians the lead before an offensive showcase. Désiré Doué scored a brace, João Neves increased the score, and Ibrahim Mbaye capped off the demonstration. Saint-Étienne, powerless, crumbled under the opponent's attacks (1-6).

Thanks to this victory, Paris strengthens its position and eagerly awaits the clash between Monaco and Nice tonight. A draw between its pursuers would be a fantastic result for the Parisians, who could already be crowned champions of France.
