Maniema Union continues to assert its dominance in the Democratic Republic of Congo's National Football League, Linafoot. In top form, the flagship club of Kindu outplayed OC Renaissance du Congo during the 19th round of the championship, securing a 1-3 victory. Thanks to this win, the “Kambelembelés” extend their lead at the top of Group B.

From the start, Maniema Union set the pace. Just before the break, Jephté Kitambala, a former striker for TP Mazembe, opened the scoring in the 43rd minute.

Returning from the locker room, the team led by Papy Kimoto maintained their pressure and doubled the lead in the 75th minute thanks to Jonathan Kanu. Then, Simete Tabiora sealed the match's fate by scoring the third goal just minutes before the final whistle.

Despite a late consolation goal from David Bela for OC Renaissance, the outcome was already decided.

With this success, Maniema Union continues its flawless run in the second phase, bringing its total to 32 points. Meanwhile, OCR remains in 7th place with 17 points.

  2. Aigles du Congo – 25 pts
  3. AC Rangers – 24 pts
  4. AS Vita Club – 23 pts

The Kambelembelés thus confirm their status as serious contenders for the championship finals.
