Liverpool considers Lookman to bolster their attack

Even with Mohamed Salah's contract extension, Liverpool is not resting on their laurels. The English club is looking to plan ahead. Salah will soon be 33, and Luis Diaz might head to Barcelona. As a result, the Reds are seeking a new winger, one who is fast, decisive, and versatile.

According to Il Giorno, Ademola Lookman is on their radar. The Atalanta Bergamo forward is shining this season: 13 goals and 5 assists in 27 Serie A matches. At 27, the Nigerian international is proving his potential in a competitive league. His profile is very appealing to Liverpool: dynamic on the wings, able to cut inside, and always a threat in front of goal.

Ademola Lookman is still under contract until 2026, with an option for an additional year. Atalanta won't let him go easily, but Liverpool has its arguments. The club will be competing in several tournaments next year. They will need depth and quality. They can't rely solely on Salah. The Reds want to prepare for the future. And the African Player of the Year 2024 could very well be a part of it.
