Liverpool: four names to replace Arne Slot, including a former Manchester United manager
Liverpool is sinking into a major crisis, and Arne Slot now finds himself at the heart of the storm. Crowned Premier League champion in his very first season, the Dutch tactician seemed to be the perfect heir to Jürgen Klopp. Yet, despite a colossal transfer window exceeding €500 million—with Florian Wirtz arriving for over €150 million and Alexander Isak for €135 million—the second year has turned into a fiasco. The two humiliating defeats at Anfield, 0–3 against Nottingham Forest and then 1–4 to PSV, have ignited the powder keg.
According to several sources, a departure for Slot can no longer be ruled out. The manager, already under pressure, sees his position weaken day by day, in a context where the team is no longer able to justify the massive investments made this summer. Questions are piling up, and the future of the Dutch coach now appears highly uncertain.
Behind the scenes, Liverpool has already identified four profiles capable of succeeding him:
• Ange Postecoglou
• Xavi Hernández
• Erik ten Hag
• Steven Gerrard
