Manchester City: Omar Marmoush refuses to give in to pessimism
Interview
Manchester City is going through a tough season. Held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton this Saturday, the Citizens temporarily sit in fifth place in the Premier League, outside of the Champions League qualification spots. This is an unusual situation for Pep Guardiola's club. However, Omar Marmoush, named man of the match, refuses to give in to pessimism.
Arriving in January, the Egyptian striker quickly made his mark in the Manchester squad. With 4 goals in seven matches, he proves he can be a valuable offensive asset. After the match, he delivered a reassuring message:
It's a challenge, but we will do everything we can. We will work as hard as possible. On the pitch, we always give 100%, and I hope we will secure this qualification. We need to try to show more of our quality, have more confidence with the ball, keep it better, and simply do what Man City has always done...
With this fifth place, Manchester City is under pressure. The competition is fierce, and the Skyblues will need to quickly regain their consistency if they want to reach the Top 4.
