According to the Daily Star, two Premier League giants, Manchester United and Liverpool, have set their sights on Everton’s central defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

At 23 years old, Branthwaite has established himself as an undisputed starter for the Toffees since the 2023/2024 season. Despite numerous transfer rumors last summer, particularly linking him to Chelsea and Tottenham, the player ultimately stayed at Goodison Park, extending his contract until 2030.

But his profile is once again turning heads. On Manchester United’s side, the potential departure of Harry Maguire, whose contract is expiring, is pushing club executives to make Branthwaite a top priority. As for Liverpool, the possible free exit of Ibrahima Konaté next summer would also force the Reds to reinforce their defensive line.
