Mathys Tel targeted by a Ligue 1 club

Struggling for playing time at Tottenham, Mathys Tel could make a return to Ligue 1. According to Fabrizio Romano, Paris FC are showing strong interest in the 20-year-old French forward.

Signed by Spurs in the summer of 2025 from Bayern Munich, Tel has featured in 39 matches this season, recording 6 goals and 2 assists, but has yet to establish himself as a regular starter. A loan move is now being considered. The player is reportedly open to the idea, hoping to boost his chances of making the French national team for the World Cup.

Paris FC, newly promoted to Ligue 1, are among the clubs interested, though competition is stiff and Tottenham have yet to make a final decision on letting him leave. Under contract until 2031, Mathys Tel's future could become clearer in the coming weeks.
