Kojo Peprah Oppong could soon be heading to the French Riviera. Heavily pursued by OGC Nice, the 21-year-old Ghanaian defender is on the brink of a move.

According to the daily Expressen, the French club is looking to finalize the transfer as early as this weekend. Having made a name for himself this season with IFK Norrköping, Oppong has established himself as an undisputed starter. In 14 rounds of the Allsvenskan, he has already been named in the starting eleven 13 times. His consistency and defensive solidity have not gone unnoticed by Nice’s scouts, who have submitted several offers in recent days.

The player himself hasn’t hidden his interest: “All I know is that they’ve made an offer and the clubs are in discussions. It would be a great step up for me,” he said on July 13. Under contract until 2026, Oppong is a bright prospect. But for now, the ball remains in Norrköping’s court.
