Several players will be vying for the Golden Boot at the 2026 World Cup, the first edition to feature 48 teams.

Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, and Lamine Yamal are the highest-rated forwards according to the specialist website Transfermarkt (valued at €200 million each). This trio leads the pack ahead of Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior and France’s Michael Olise (both valued at €150 million).

Only one African makes it into the Top 10 strikers: Ivorian Yan Diomande, who plays for RB Leipzig. The Top 10 is dominated by French talent, including Paris Saint-Germain’s Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé.

Argentine World Cup champion Julián Álvarez sits ninth in the ranking. The Atlético Madrid striker is valued at €90.00 million.
