Nottingham Forest: Towards a contract extension for Ola Aina

Ola Aina is nearing a new deal with Nottingham Forest. Both parties are reportedly in advanced discussions to extend the Nigerian defender's contract.

Ola Aina's current contract at Nottingham Forest expires at the end of this season, specifically in June 2025. However, it's possible that the Nigerian international's stay at West Bridgford could be extended by another year. Although his first campaign with the Tricky Trees was hampered by some physical setbacks, the 28-year-old defender has managed to bounce back and, more importantly, earn the trust of coach Nuno Espírito Santo. He has become one of the regular and key players in Nottingham Forest's defense this season, featuring in 27 Premier League matches, all as a starter.

According to The Athletic, “Nottingham Forest is still hoping to secure a long-term contract extension with Aina, with negotiations ongoing for several months.”

Signed in July 2023 at the end of his deal with Torino FC, Ola Aina initially penned a one-season contract before extending during the last summer transfer window until 2025.
