Official: Al Ahly Sign Mahmoud Trezeguet on Deal Until 2030

Al Ahly SC have officially confirmed the signing of Egyptian international Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet marking their 1st major move to strengthen the squad for the 2025 fifa Club World cup in the United States.

The Golden Boy Returns

The club unveiled the deal in promotional video titled "The Golden Boy Returns" drawing from Egyptian pop culture and the classic theme of "El Laila ElKebira".

Trezeguet returns to his boyhood club after over decade in europe & the Middle East having featured for Anderlecht, Mouscron, Aston Villa, Kasimpasa, Trabzonspor and most recently Al Rayyan, ending his loan spell this summer.

Deal Until 2030

The 29 year old penned contract lasting until the summer of 2030 with Al Ahly confirming the agreement , originally sealed in Jan , now taking effect after the end of the current season.

The signing video quickly went viral on the club’s official channels as fans celebrated the return of the "People’s Club" favorite who brings with him vast international experience.

Club World Cup Preparations Underway

Al Ahly're set to represent Africa in the expanded 32 team Club World cup, joining Group A alongside Inter Miami (USA), Porto (Portugal) and Palmeiras (Brazil).

The team will fly to the U.S on 4 Jun with friendly against Pachuca (Mexico) scheduled for 8 Jun as part of their final preparations.
