Official: Lassina Traoré extends his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk until 2031

Shakhtar Donetsk officially announced on Tuesday, May 19, the contract extension of Lassina Traoré. The Burkinabé star is now tied to the Ukrainian club until 2031.

The story and brilliance of Lassina Traoré continue in Ukraine. Since joining in July 2021 from Ajax Amsterdam for €10 million, the 25-year-old striker is set to extend his journey for five more years with Shakhtar Donetsk. Both parties are now committed until 2031.

This extension is a reward for a brilliant season delivered by the Burkinabé star. After a long struggle with injury, Lassina Traoré ended the season with impressive stats: 7 goals and 1 assist in 13 matches in the Ukrainian Premier League.
