Betway Premiership outfit Kruger United have announced the severing of ties with assistant coach Joel Masutha.

The Limpopo-born mentor joined the newly promoted side at the beginning of the season to serve as second in command to head coach Abraham Mongoya.

Kruger have had a tough start to life in the topflight, managing to register a solitary win with five defeats and one draw in their opening seven fixtures.

Mongoya's men, as a result, currently sit 13th in the Betway Premiership table as they prepare for life without the reliable services of Masutha.

“Kruger United FC confirms that the club and Assistant Coach Joel Masutha have mutually agreed to part ways with effect from today, 6 October 2026,” read the club statement.

"The Club thanks Coach Masutha for his commitment and his contribution during his time with The Village Boys, and for the professionalism with which he has conducted himself throughout.

"We wish him every success in the next chapter of his coaching career and in all his future endeavors.

"Thank you for your service, Coach Joel.

Masutha is reportedly set to take over the reins at struggling Motsepe Foundation Championship club The Bees FC, returning for a second spell.

He will replace his successor Duncan Lechesa, who was shown the exit door during the FIFA International break after a poor start in the second-tier.

The Bees are in 14th place, having picked up a single win with four defeats, and visit Cape Town City in their next league outing on Sunday
