OM: Injured Nayef Aguerd arrives in Morocco
Nayef Aguerd

Suffering from a groin injury, Nayef Aguerd is all but ruled out for Morocco this November. Nevertheless, the OM defender insisted on joining up with the national team.

Last Saturday, Nayef Aguerd picked up a groin injury, which forced him to be substituted late in the match against Brest (3-0) in Ligue 1. Despite this setback, Aguerd still reported to the Moroccan squad to have his injury assessed. According to RMC Sport, he is expected to stay with the team for several days to receive treatment.

The Moroccan international is not expected to feature in the Atlas Lions' friendlies against Mozambique on November 14 and Uganda on November 18. Aguerd is required to observe a 15-day rest period and may also miss OM’s trip to Nice on November 21. With the Africa Cup of Nations just weeks away, no risks will be taken with his recovery.
