Good news for Olympique de Marseille! The Phocean club is about to regain one of its offensive assets. Roberto De Zerbi announced the upcoming return of Faris Moumbagna, who is currently in the final stages of recovery.

Olympique de Marseille can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel regarding the injury of their Cameroonian striker. Suffering from a cruciate ligament rupture during the first day of Ligue 1 against Brest, Faris Moumbagna has not played since August 17, 2024. After several months of absence, the 24-year-old player is about to return to action. The news was officially confirmed by the Phocean club's coach at a press conference this Friday, March 7, 2025.

“Yes, we are waiting for him. I hope he can give us the goal for mathematical qualification in the Champions League. He deserves it. He is a very good person. Karma will reward him. It would be fair for him to become a decisive player in the final matches, it would be really beautiful,” said Roberto De Zerbi.

These statements hint at a highly anticipated return of Faris Moumbagna and a place in the plans of the Italian coach. Last season, the Cameroonian international played 13 matches in Ligue 1, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
