Portuguese and Ukrainian Clubs Escalates Battle With Zamalek to FIFA

Portuguese club Estrela Amadora have lodged official complaint with FIFA against Zamalek over unpaid fees from the transfer of Angolan striker Chico Banza.

Estrela escalate dispute

Club president Paulo Lopo confirmed the move revealing that Zamalek failed to meet multiple payment deadlines for the 680000 euro summer deal.

"We contacted them several times but no response came. We'd no choice but to file complaint with FIFA" Lopo explained to winwin.

Ukrainian club joins the queue

The issue adds to Zamalek’s financial troubles with Ukrainian side Oleksandriya also claiming unpaid dues from the transfer of Brazilian winger Juan Bezerra, Acrroding to winwin.

The Eastern Europeans say they have yet to receive any reply from the Cairo giants.

Next challenge

Despite the off field tension, Zamalek turn their focus to tough EPL clash with Ismaily on Thursday 18 September at Ismailia Stadium as the White Knights aim to maintain momentum.
