Liverpool did not shine, but the essential is secured: a 1-0 victory against Everton for their 100th win in the Merseyside derby. Diogo Jota, scoring in the second half, allowed the Reds to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

The match was intense and hard-fought, marked by numerous duels and few chances. In the first half, Beto thought he opened the scoring for Everton, but his goal was ruled out for offside. He then had another opportunity, hitting the post after leaving Virgil van Dijk bewildered. On the other side, Luis Diaz set up Mohamed Salah, whose header was saved by Jordan Pickford.

It was finally Diaz who broke the deadlock after the break, delivering a perfect pass to Jota. The Portuguese deceived Pickford with a precise shot. Everton, lacking inspiration, never managed to respond.
With this victory, Liverpool maintains their 12-point lead and continues their march towards the Premier League title.
