Premier League: Manchester City wins, Omar Marmoush scores

Manchester City may no longer have hopes for the title, but Pep Guardiola's men are determined to secure their place in the Champions League. Against Leicester, they wrapped up the match in just half an hour (2-0) and maintain their fourth place in the Premier League, just one point behind Newcastle.

In the 2nd minute, Jack Grealish opened the scoring, benefiting from excellent work by Savinho. He hadn't scored since December 2023. Omar Marmoush then doubled the lead in the 29th minute, following a huge error by Mads Hermansen, who was unfortunate in a collision with Wout Faes.

After the break, the pace slowed, and City managed their lead. Guardiola, confident, made his first substitution only in the 78th minute. Despite Ruud van Nistelrooy's attempts to revitalize Leicester, his team succumbed without making a mark. With victories from Newcastle and Aston Villa, the battle for the Top 4 promises to be fierce. Manchester City, well-positioned, does not want to let go of their Champions League ticket.
