PSL: Burkina Faso international Ibrahim Bancé signs with Chippa United
Chippa United has secured its new midfielder. The South African club announced the signing of Ibrahim Bancé.
The Burkina Faso international was a free agent after leaving the Marumo Gallants. He was also courted by Simba SC in Tanzania. A product of the ASEC Mimosas youth system, Bancé is 25 years old and already has a busy career behind him. He spent time in Sweden with Helsingborgs IF, then in the United States with Real Monarchs, before settling in South Africa with Bahlabane Ba Ntwa and later Marumo Gallants.
12 games last season
Last season in the Betway Premiership, the Étalons midfielder played 12 games for Marumo Gallants—enough to keep him on the radar of clubs in the league. A Burkina Faso international since 2019, he was recalled to the national team last March for a match against Guinea-Bissau.
An experienced addition for Chippa
With his versatile skill set and international experience, Ibrahim Bancé brings depth to Chippa United’s midfield. The club hopes the Burkinabé player will prove himself in the Premiership and take his South African career to the next level.
