The African champions sealed comfortable win at Cairo’s Air Defense Stadium on Sunday night. Goals from Pyramids equaled the record margin achieved by Al Ahly against the Oceania giants in previous meeting.

Next Challenge in Jeddah

With the victory, Pyramids advanced to face Asian champions Al Ahli Saudi on 23 September at Alinma Stadium in Jeddah.

The winner will progress to meet the victors of the Americas derby in the Intercontinental Challenge before possible showdown with European champions Paris Saint Germain in the final.
