Real Betis: Cédric Bakambu out against Real Valladolid
Real Betis is preparing to host Real Valladolid at the Benito Villamarín Stadium this Thursday, April 24, for the 33rd round of the Spanish La Liga. Unfortunately, the current 6th place team will be without one of its key forwards for this encounter with the tournament's bottom team. Cédric Bakambu, who was absent from his club's recent training session, will not be playing.
On the eve of the match against Real Valladolid, coach Manuel Pellegrini provided an update on the health of his players at a press conference. He discussed the situation of the Congolese forward without confirming his participation in Thursday's game.
"We will see how he responds to this physical issue. I don't think he'll have difficulty playing by Thursday. We will discuss with the medical team the advisability of him playing tomorrow," said Manuel Pellegrini.
Real Betis was hoping to rely on Cédric Bakambu, who has scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists in 35 appearances, including 7 goals in the UEFA Europa Conference League. However, the medical staff seems to have made a decision after the press conference. The Congolese player is not in the squad against Real Valladolid.
