Vinicius Jr has shown great confidence in his current form.

The Brazilian has stated in recent hours that he is experiencing the best physical period of his career. "I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. I work hard every day with the staff and my teammates to reach this level," Vinicius Jr told the Spanish press.

"I feel confident in front of goal and strong enough to help the team, both in defense and attack," added the Merengue. This statement is somewhat paradoxical, given that Real Madrid is currently going through a period marked by numerous injuries of varying seriousness within the squad.

On Wednesday, Real Madrid will host Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. Vinicius Jr will have to deliver.
