Real Madrid vs OM: Vinicius' starting spot in doubt
Vinicius

A nailed-on starter just a year ago, Vinicius Jr now finds himself overshadowed by Kylian Mbappé. The Brazilian could begin Real Madrid vs OM on the bench.

At the Santiago Bernabéu this Tuesday, the Champions League returns for Real Madrid as they host OM. This season, Kylian Mbappé seems to have rediscovered his blistering form. Last Saturday, he netted a goal and provided an assist in the 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad. Since the start of the year, he has fully assumed the leadership role in attack—a position once reserved for Vinicius Junior.

Apparently, the Brazilian could indeed be missing from the starting lineup tonight. According to reports from the Spanish show El Chiringuito, the number 7 still doesn't know if he'll start or if he'll be on the bench tonight as the Olympians come to town. It's also been reported that he's unhappy with the treatment he's received from his new coach. "He has accepted his new role since Mbappé's arrival, but he feels his efforts aren't being rewarded by Xabi Alonso," journalist Marcos Benito explained.

We'll have our answer tonight!
