Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana, playing for Manchester United, holds the top spot as the most expensive African goalkeeper in the world in terms of market value for the year 2025.

The financial value of goalkeepers is a crucial criterion for evaluating them, determining the best among them, and appreciating the strength of their clubs. This value is assessed by considering several factors, including age, performance, playing minutes, and the clubs they belong to.

According to the global specialist site "Transfermarkt", André Onana stands at the top of the list of the most expensive African goalkeepers in the world, with a value of 32 million euros, based on the latest evaluation from March last year. In second place is Senegalese Yevann Diouf, goalkeeper of Stade de Reims, with a value of 9 million euros, followed by Nigerian Maduka Okoye, goalkeeper of Udinese in Italy, who ranks third with 7.5 million euros.
