Ahead of the high-stakes match, the Greens' coach provided an update on his squad's condition. "Augustine Boakye underwent ankle surgery during this break. He will be out until the end of the season," stated the Norwegian coach Eirik Horneland.

Recruited in July 2024 from Austria (Wolfsberger AC), Augustine Boakye has never been able to fully showcase his potential at Saint-Étienne. With recurring injuries (hip, calf, thigh) and challenging adaptation periods, the Ghanaian has only played 17 matches this season, scoring 3 goals. His last appearance was in mid-March, before ankle surgery prematurely ended his season.
