Sami Trabelsi: "The Tunisian team is far from the required level"!

Tunisia secured a 2-0 victory against Malawi on March 24, 2025, during the 6th matchday of the 2025 World Cup qualifiers. A win that allowed the Eagles of Carthage to remain at the top of Group H.

In this encounter, the Eagles of Carthage showed unwavering determination, managing to score two late goals. Seifeddine Jaziri opened the scoring in the 86th minute, followed by a penalty converted by Elias Achouri in stoppage time (90’+2). After this impressive performance, the Tunisian coach praised his team's efforts in this duel.

"My players stayed focused until the end. They didn't rush. Despite the shortcomings that still exist, I can only congratulate them for their mindset and displayed determination throughout the match," Sami Trabelsi initially stated.

The coach of the Eagles of Carthage did not fail to point out the persistent deficiencies. "Even though we won, the Tunisian team is far from the required level. We lacked efficiency in the first half. We need to work to correct our weaknesses," concluded Sami Trabelsi.
