Senegal: Aly Male appointed as new head coach of the local national team

The federation officially announced this Monday the appointment of Aly Male as the new head coach of the local national team. The Gorée club coach succeeds Souleymane Diallo, who has been appointed as national technical director.

Aly Male has been named as the new coach of Senegal's local national team (A'). He takes over from Souleymane Diallo, who has assumed new responsibilities as national technical director. The former Lions of Teranga defender will be assisted by Lamine Diani, who has been appointed as assistant coach.

While the African Nations Championship (CHAN) remains on hold, the West African Football Union (UFOA A) is back in the spotlight

and brings back the Amilcar Cabral Cup to the forefront. The duo of Aly Male and Lamine Diani will lead the local Lions in this tournament, scheduled to take place from August 15 to 30, 2026, in Guinea.
