Senegal announces two friendlies against Nigeria in preparation for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations
Senegal is stepping up its preparations. After facing Burkina Faso (1-0, 3-3), the Teranga Lionesses will challenge their counterparts, the Nigerian Super Falcons, as part of the build-up to the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The two high-profile friendlies against Nigeria, the record holders with 11 African titles, will take place in Ikenne during the June FIFA window.
The first leg is scheduled for June 5, with the return match on June 8. In addition to taking advantage of the international FIFA window, this double-header represents a golden opportunity for the Super Falcons to fine-tune their preparations for the much-anticipated Women's Africa Cup of Nations in July.
The Senegal Lionesses are drawn in Group A alongside Morocco, Kenya, and Algeria.
