Senegal: Ibrahim Mbaye responds to allegations about his family
The young Senegalese international Ibrahim Mbaye has broken his silence following the release of a video by journalist Romain Molina implicating his entourage. Molina claims that the player's parents made a series of demands to agencies wishing to represent him, including a significant share of commissions and image rights, funding for several projects (foundation, hospital, academy, school, investments, sports agency...), as well as various material and logistical advantages.
In a message posted on his social media, Ibrahim Mbaye denounced what he considers to be defamatory accusations targeting his family.
"It's fascinating how people can slander my family and me... But well, there is a God. God will take care of these people!"
The Senegalese player also voiced his support for his parents.
He ended his post with the phrase "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah," meaning there is no strength or power except through God.
At this stage, the claims relayed by Romain Molina have not been independently confirmed, while Ibrahim Mbaye continues to publicly deny these accusations.
