Antonio Van Wyk found the back of the net for SV Ried as they played to a 1-1 draw with WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday.

The South African winger opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, before the home team leveled matters through Valentino Muller in the 71st minute.

With the stalemate, Ried dropped to seventh, having accumulated 28 points from 20 league outings - and trail log leaders Red Bull Salzburg with eight points.

Meanwhile, Van Wyk has now scored in back-to-back league games as he netted against LASK a fortnight ago.

Overall, the 22-year-old attacker has scored three goals and provided four assists in 22 matches across all competitions this season.

He signed for Ried in September 2024 from Betway Premiership outfit Stellenbosch FC - a club he lifted the inaugural Carling Knockout Cup with in December 2023.

Notably, Van Wyk is in the final six months of his contract, but Ried have a one-year option, with Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly circling.

The explosive winger, who has won the second-tier championship since completing a move to Austria, will be eager to maintain form when Ried visit Grazer AK on Sunday, 01 March.
