South African winger Kurt Abrahams continued his red-hot goal scoring form as SK Beveren thrashed Patro Eisden 4-1 in the Belgian First Division B.

The 29-year-old restored parity for Beveren on the stroke of halftime, cancelling out Japhet Muanza's opener in the 37th minute.

With the huge win, Beveren went 15 points clear at the summit of the Challenger Pro League, with 66 points picked up in 24 matches - making promotion a reality at this stage.

Meanwhile, Abrahams has now scored nine goals and laid two assists in 25 matches across all competitions - with seven of the goals racked up in the last nine appearances.

The Cape Town-born attacker, who spent most of his career turning out for several teams in Belgium, is in the final six months of his contract, although the club retains a one-year option.

Abrahams will undoubtedly fancy himself to be on the scoresheet when Beveren welcome bottom-placed Olympic de Charleroi on Saturday, 28 February.
