Long before the 2026 World Cup final, which Spain won against Argentina (1-0 aet), Marc Cucurella vowed to get a tattoo of Luis de la Fuente’s face if they took the title.

The left-back fully intends to keep his word. That promise prompted a rather humorous response from his coach.

"They’ve made a promise. And since they’re men of their word, serious people, they’re going to keep it. I’m not that bad-looking either, just let them do it somewhere not too visible. (...) A tattoo for me? I’m too old for that," the Spanish coach joked at the press conference.
