Doumbia seized his opportunity perfectly
Starting from the get-go, Doumbia seized his opportunity perfectly, proving that he is gradually finding his feet in the English league.
This new goal brings his total to five across all competitions in 21 matches, including 19 appearances in the Championship with nine starts. A promising trajectory for this young talent in his adaptation phase.
From Stade Malien to English pitches
Before making his mark in the professional squad, Mamadou had showcased his skills with Watford's U21 team, where he scored three goals in just two matches, including a notable double against Bristol City in December.
Recruited from Stade Malien, the Malian international hopeful signed a six-year contract with the English club.
The Bamako native officially joined the professional squad on July 1, 2024, and has continually justified the hopes placed in him ever since.
