Stade Rennais: Good News for Seko Fofana

More fear than harm for the Ivorian midfielder! Coach Habib Bèye has provided reassuring updates on the health status of Seko Fofana, who was subbed off early during Rennes' emphatic victory against Montpellier HSC (4-0).

During the match against Montpellier on Sunday, March 2, 2025, Seko Fofana was replaced at halftime, raising concerns about a serious injury. Having scored the first goal of the match (28th minute), the Ivorian player's exit caused some anxiety. However, Stade Rennais quickly reassured the fans.

"It looks like a strain. Seko stopped at the right time. There was no reason at halftime to take a risk," indicated the Senegalese coach Habib Beye in a press conference.

The 29-year-old midfielder is thus expected next weekend for the clash Rennes vs Paris Saint-Germain. Seko Fofana opened his account in Ligue 1 for this season during the match against Montpellier, marking his 8th appearance in the tournament.
