There is a new option regarding the future of Moroccan Sofyan Amrabat!
As exclusively reported by Africafoot, this summer will be a turning point for Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat. And now, a clear direction is beginning to take shape.
According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, the chances of Amrabat staying at Real Betis are looking very slim. The club is unlikely to trigger his purchase option, and there are several reasons behind that decision. His inconsistent performances have been noted, but his high wages are also a major factor.
The buy option for Amrabat is reportedly set at around €10 million—a figure Betis' leadership considers too steep. Villarreal has emerged as a possible next destination for the Moroccan midfielder. Still under contract with Fenerbahçe until June 2028, the 29-year-old is currently valued at €12 million by Transfermarkt.
This season, he has made 23 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and logging 1,599 minutes on the pitch. Injuries have also caused him to miss several matches. Amrabat currently earns an annual salary of €5 million.
