Tolu Arokodare is experiencing an exceptional 2024-2025 season in the colors of KRC Genk. With 18 goals in 31 league matches, the 1.97m Nigerian giant tops the Jupiler Pro League scoring chart and leads his team in the title race.

An impressive journey to the top

Since his arrival at KRC Genk, Arokodare has continued to rise in power. After a first season of adaptation, he found his rhythm, delivering high-level performances. In December 2024, he reached the 10-goal mark in the league, climbing to the top of the scoring chart alongside Kasper Dolberg and Adriano Bertaccini. This consistency in front of goal has been crucial in keeping Genk at the top of the Pro League standings.

Personal records, a decisive impact on the team

This Sunday, March 30 in the Pro League, Tolu Arokodare found the back of the net and contributed to KRC Genk's victory against Gent on the first day of the title race. This achievement brings his tally to 18 goals and allows the Nigerian striker to solidify his position as the top scorer of the season in the Belgian first division. Likewise, he has notched his 20th goal of the season across all competitions. A first in the 24-year-old striker's career.

Tolu Arokodare's performances have not gone unnoticed by the Nigerian Football Federation. His consistency earned him a call-up to the national team, where he made his debut against Rwanda and Zimbabwe during the March 2025 international break. This recognition is reinforced by the praise from his compatriot Victor Osimhen, who hailed his rise and impact in Belgium.​
