Tony Bulus Appointed to Rescue Lobi Stars from Relegation Battle
Lobi Stars've appointed Tony Bulus as their new head coach replacing Mohammed Babaganaru who resigned just 14 day into his tenure.
A Critical Appointment
Bulus, the 5th manager to lead Lobi Stars this season, faces the immense challenge of steering the team away from relegation in the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL. The Makurdi based club currently sits at the bottom of the standings with just 10 match remaining to salvage their season.
Club chairman Dr. Philip Nongu introduced Bulus to the team, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and calling for full cooperation from players and staff.
Tough Measures for Survival
Benue State FA Chairman Barr. Edeh made it clear that if results don't improve, further changes will follow. “Lobi Stars's bigger than all of us. The last 10 match must be approached as must wins” he stated firmly.
Additionally, Commissioner Ikyange reinforced the club’s new performance based policy, announcing that only players who deliver on the pitch will receive full pay moving forward.
Players Determined to Fight
Acknowledging the team’s struggles, senior players including Tar Akombo & John Gaadi, vowed to fight harder. “Lobi Stars won't be relegated” they declared, promising to give their all in the remaining matches.
A Proven Leader at the Helm
Bulus, seasoned tactician, has managed top Nigerian clubs including MFM FC, Rangers International and Katsina United.
