Transfer market: Mohamed Amine Tougaï targeted by Al Ain!
Gulf clubs are closely monitoring Algerian international defender Mohamed Amine Tougaï (25), currently playing for Espérance Sportive de Tunis, who appears set to take a major step forward in his professional career. After several seasons in Tunisia, his contract is set to expire at the end of June.
According to reliable media sources, UAE side Al Ain have entered into advanced talks with Tougaï in an effort to bolster their defensive line during the summer transfer window. This move follows the club's disappointing run at the FIFA Club World Cup, marked by heavy defeats to Juventus (5-0) and Manchester City (6-0). These results have prompted management to urgently seek reinforcements, especially at the back.
Espérance de Tunis still hoping to keep him
According to Mosaïque FM radio, Espérance de Tunis management is looking to extend Tougaï's stay. A meeting was recently held, resulting in a preliminary agreement for him to remain, although the final decision has been postponed until after the Club World Cup.
Despite numerous offers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, Tougaï has not ruled out continuing his adventure with the "Blood and Gold," where he remains a defensive stalwart.
