Kenya on the brink of elimination. It's done. Senegal has won. The Lionesses secured a 1-0 victory over Kenya at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on matchday 2 of Group B, fully reigniting their campaign in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

After a slow start, Senegal raised their game. Seynabou Mbengue broke the deadlock with a superb assist from Awa Casset. Following their 0-2 slip against Algeria, Mame Moussa Cissé's squad needed a response—and they delivered. One goal was enough to secure three points and restore confidence.

A victory that feels good

The first-half goal held until the final whistle. Solid and disciplined, the Lionesses managed the second half to maintain their lead. Senegal is back in contention in Group A ahead of their final match.

Kenya almost eliminated

On their end, Kenya suffered a second defeat after a 0-4 loss to Morocco. The Harambee Starlets are now on the verge of being knocked out—they’ll need a miracle to progress. For Senegal, the mission is now clear: finish the job against Morocco to secure qualification.
