Transfer window: Malian midfielder on ES Tunis radar

In search of reinforcements for their midfield, the management of Espérance Sportive de Tunis has set its sights on Malian midfielder Samba Koné.

According to Diwan FM, the Blood and Gold have made an initial offer to secure the services of the 23-year-old, which was turned down by Portuguese second division side Académico Viseu.

The Portuguese club is not opposed to letting their midfielder leave. The Bab Souika outfit is expected to return with an improved offer to finalize the deal.

Samba Koné played 25 matches in the Portuguese second division last season, tallying two goals and an assist. He has also attracted interest from Romania, where CFR Cluj is keen on his profile.

It's worth noting that several Malians have previously donned the colors of the Tunisian champions, including Nouhoum Samassékou, Dramane Traoré, Moussa Marega, and Idrissa Coulibaly.
