It is now confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF): the final of the U17 AFCON 2025 between Morocco and Mali has been rescheduled at the last moment.

The announcement, which appeared this Friday, April 18, on CAF's official X account, quickly caused confusion.

Initially scheduled for Saturday at 20:00 at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia, the match will now be played earlier in the day: at 15:00 local time (14:00 GMT), as confirmed by CAF in a statement.

Moroccan supporters in outrage!

This sudden change has sparked surprise and anger among many Moroccan fans, especially since no clear explanation has been provided.

According to some sources, this decision follows suspicions about the use of lasers during the penalty shootout against Ivory Coast in the semi-final.

Despite this unexpected change, Moroccan coach Nabil Baha remains focused on the goal: "No matter the time, we are ready to go for the title," he stated at a press conference.

Morocco will be aiming for their first continental crown in this category, while Mali is seeking a third title after 2015 and 2017.
