Morocco has secured a spot in the round of 16 after a historic victory over Brazil (2-1). This match, played overnight, was the second group stage fixture in Group C of the U20 World Cup.

The "Atlas Lions" staged a comeback with goals from Osman Maâma and Yasser Zoubiri, before Íago Teodoro pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 92nd minute.

With this win over Spain and Brazil, Morocco tops Group C with 6 points, regardless of the outcome of their final match. Mexico sits second with 2 points, while both Brazil and Spain have 1 point each.

Who will Morocco face in the round of 16?

According to the World Cup draw, the "Atlas Lions" will face in the round of 16 either New Zealand, who finished third in Group A alongside Japan, Chile, and Egypt, or Panama, third in Group B with Ukraine, Paraguay, and South Korea.

There is also a possibility that Morocco could meet a team from Group F, which includes Colombia, Norway, Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia. Currently sitting in third place in their group, Saudi Arabia could become Morocco's opponent if they qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.
